The door at the 5th floor service entrance was not working correctly, due to an issue handicapped push plate. We called out the service company, who came out this afternoon to investigate the cause of the issue.

At present, the service company is still working on the door to get it operational. Hopefully they will be able to get it repaired this evening.

Please note that the issue is with the push plate, one of the causes could be that residents and guests use their knees, feet and other body parts to strike the plate. The plate is only meant to be touched with your hand. The force of your foot, knee etc, causes more force to be applied to the mechanics of the plate than is intended for that type of equipment.
