We know that you are being bombarded with constant news and updates on the corona virus. Unfortunately, as soon we as we send out a memo, changes occur. We are trying to stay up to date during these trying times and are thankful that residents are complying with the constant changes and requests that have occurred as a result of this virus. Everyone has been truly wonderful for being supportive and understanding in these matters.
We’ve seen residents pulling together and helping one another. One of our residents has kindly offered to assist senior citizens by picking up groceries or prescriptions (from CVS) if you can’t. Her name is Lisa D’Antonio and if you wish to avail yourself of her kindness, you can reach her at ldantonio29@gmail.com. She can assist you Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
Today we became aware that several grocery stores in our area began offering “senior hours only” for those over 60. You may shop at Giant from 6 am to 7 am daily. Acme is also offering “senior hours” Monday through Friday, 7 am to 9 am. Target is having “senior hours” every Wednesday, 1 hour before the store open to the public (hours vary by store). This is to ensure the most vulnerable members of the community can avoid crowded shopping and to allow for better social distancing.
Since many residents that take the van to shop for groceries are over 60, the van will be going to ACME only from 7 am to 9 am, Monday through Friday, starting March 20. Other grocery and drug stores runs will take place as per the usual shopping schedule. Please note that no special monthly van trips will take place until further notice.
We received a request from our local post office to limit the number of people to 1 at any time in the mailroom. They’ve also requested that the doors remain closed but not locked for the foreseeable future.
Again, thank you from all of us and should you have any questions, please contact the Management Office at 610-544-6000.
